We are delighted to announce that Hiroki Ono, Film Director at AOI Pro.’s creative brand CluB_A, and Rajay Singh, Co-Founder/Film Director at our group company Directors Think Tank, will join the Film Craft jury for the Spikes Asia 2021.
Spikes Asia is the oldest and most prestigious award for creative advertising in Asia Pacific region. Judging will take place in February 2021 and the winners will be announced in March.
Hiroki Ono – Film Director, CluB_A
Hiroki graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2007 where he majored in cinematography. After some freelance work he joined AOI Pro. as part of the International Creative Unit in 2009. To pursue his passion in film directing, Hiroki proved his craft by winning the Grand Prix at the 2009 Cannes Lions for the MOFILM competition, and was later transferred to the planning direction department.
Hiroki is known for his outstanding craftsmanship and distinctive eye in the process of filmmaking. The perfect balance of authenticity and carefully crafted beauty of every scene creates a memorable film. Hiroki is most widely known internationally for the viral phenomenon, Nissin Cup Noodle’s “Samurai in Brazil” and more recently the moving "Motorbike" for Amazon Prime.

Rajay Singh – Co-Founder/Film Director, Directors Think Tank
Rajay has spent decades building his craft and body of work.
Like his custom bikes – one of which was featured in top shows and reputable international publications.
Like his people – made up of former Grab drivers, art directors, steel mill managers, college lecturers and wedding photographers turned film directors.
Like Directors Think Tank – the No.1 Production House in APAC, as ranked by Campaign Brief Asia and No.1 Production House in Malaysia and Indonesia for two years running.
Like his films – award-winning spots for Petronas, Glenlivet, Malaysia Airlines, Sony, Guinness, Google, Tokopedia and Mitsubishi.
Like his way-longer film – a feature-length production with a cast and crew of 148, shot over a month for Petronas in India.
Like his love of stories – that drove him to open a Film and Content division that co-produced a sensational movie and is fully producing a new film in 2021.
Like his passion for the industry – being a constant feature in the international award show judging circuit.
Like his kids – who formed his motion graphics divisions fresh out of school.
Like his real kids – who make guest and starring appearances in his (and his film director wife’s) films.
But for all that he’s built, perhaps the only thing he hasn’t… is a penchant for writing bios.
