October 31, 2018

Tokyo — We are honored to announce that Rajay Singh, Co-Founder and Film Director at our group company in Malaysia, Directors Think Tank, was selected as a jury member for the 7th annual One Screen Short Film Festival.

One Screen Short Film Festival is the premiere short film festival that celebrates and awards filmmakers from both commercial advertising and film industries. Founded by a non-profit organization “One Club”, it focuses on all forms and aspects of short films — narrative fiction, comedy, passion projects, commercials, branded content, music videos, spec work, animation, sound, movie poster design, title sequences, etc.

The Jury is composed of leading film directors, producers, ad agency creatives and heads of production companies. Winners will be announced at the One Screen Short Film Festival awards ceremony and screening in New York in February 2019.

Rajay Singh / Film Director

To borrow an aphorism, Rajay’s career is split into BC and AD. Before Children and After Diapers.
Now in his AD years, Rajay makes a fulfilling career out of making sure his 3 children and 4 rescued dogs grow up with care, support and happiness.

But in between the feeds and the wipes, he also found time to break the Directors Think Tank Group into Asia’s Top 10 production companies.
To spearhead growth in Asia, he successfully negotiated capital participation by the largest production group in Japan, AOI Pro. — the first in Malaysia to attempt such a feat.

Director’s Think Tank was ranked amongst the TOP 10 production houses across Asia for Campaign Brief’s The Work, and was recently awarded Production House of the Year at the Kancil Awards.

He works tirelessly on directing commercials that have won accolades across the globe, with wins at Cannes, One Show, AD STARS, Spikes, and ADFEST. He judged at ADFEST, Spikes, AD STARS, Kancil Awards and the Ciclope Festival.

He worked relentlessly to up the game for many high profile campaigns for Petronas F1, Glenlivet, Malaysia Airlines, Sony, Guinness, Google, and Mitsubishi.

And he still builds custom motorbikes through his custom bike shop — Beautiful Machines. One of their custom creations, ‘Monster’ became the first Malaysian-made bike to be featured in the Yokohama Hot Rod and Custom Show, as well as international motorbike publications from France, Italian and Australia.

So, you’d be mistaken for thinking that his new career path has slowed him down in any way.
